Events for July 2016

Dear Supporters & Friends;
We would like to thank the Lincoln Way area businesses for all they do for our community. It is important for us to support our local businesses as wel las help our community grow.

Our mission is to help the young athletes at Lincoln-Way Central HS by providing them with the tools they need to succeed on and off the playing field.

In the last two years, we have provided scholarships to 56 students, volleyball, basketball and soccer uniforms, cheerleading mats, wrestling mats, weight lighting racks in the weight room, Special Olympics participant t-shirts, and field tarps for baseball and softball, just to name a few.
 
We are proud and very thankful for the continued support of our sponsors. One of our main fundraisers is the annual Fall Ad Book. It is available to all Lincoln-Way Central students and their families during the fall athletic season. Ads are available in different levels depending on your budget, the lowest being just $100.

Join us for Wednesday movie nights in the summer! This week we'll be showing Norm of the North!

New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) firefighters will be hitting the streets to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) with their Annual Boot Drive.
 
On Friday, July 8th from 3p.m. to 6p.m., and Saturday, July 9^th from 9a.m. to 12p.m. NLFPD firefighters will be collecting money at the intersections of Francis Road and Cedar Road, as well as Nelson Road and Laraway Road.
 
“We’d love to see the residents of New Lenox and area communities join us in our campaign to fill the boot,” said NLFPD Chief Steve Engledow. “In the past we have been able to raise around $3,500 for the MDA and we hope to exceed that amount this year.”
 
All proceeds from the Fill the Boot program go directly to the families of MDA to help finance medical treatments and any physical therapy needs that are required for the individuals affected by the disease.

Mayor Baldermann and The Village of New Lenox Present the 8th annual Summer Triple Play 2016.
Performing at this years triple play is...

• Daughtry (Saturday June 18)
• Huey Lewis and the News (Saturday July 16)
• The Wallflowers (Saturday August 13)

Attendees may utilize the free valet service at the Madison St. entrance #2.  Wheelchairs will be provided along with walking assistance to the Auditorium as needed.  AFTERGLOW provides support to stroke survivors and their caregivers.  The group is survivor driven, facilitated by professionals, offering support, education, and resources to transition into a new normal.

The Fire Foundation's goal is to raise dollars to help the needs of each one of our four fire stations to stay current as well as giving them the opportunity to have more advance equipment for our community.

Join MorningStar Mission for its first 5K Run/Walk. Participants will compete in male and female age groups and the top 3 finishers in each age group will receive placement medals. All participants will receive a finishing medal. We are collecting new and used shoes for the homeless. Share your soles for souls.
