New Lenox Fire Foundation Pancake Breakfast
The New Lenox Fire Foundation pancake breakfasts will be starting up again for the winter months. The breakfasts are held at the New Lenox Fire Protection District’s Station 1, located at 261 E. Maple Street from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. one Saturday per month from October through March.
The breakfasts are free to the public; however those who attend are encouraged to bring canned goods and other food items for the local food pantry.

AFTERGLOW provides support to stroke survivors and their caregivers. The group is survivor driven, facilitated by professionals, offering support, education, and resources to transition into a new normal.

Parkinson's Support Group
The Parkinson’s Support Group was established for those with Parkinson’s disease and their families as a place to learn and share. During support group meetings, participants will have an opportunity to listen to speakers address topics of particular interest to individuals who have Parkinson’s disease, as well as their family members. Future topics of discussion include diet, speech and swallowing, sleep problems, family member involvement, stress management, and handwriting. Participants will also have an opportunity to share their experiences and learn from the experiences’ of others.

Healing Heartburn & Barrett's Esophagus
Acid reflux or chronic heartburn can be more than an inconvenience. Heartburn, acid reflux (also referred to as gastroesophageal reflux disease or GERD) and Barrett’s esophagus are digestive disorders that if left untreated can progress to more serious conditions. Barrett’s esophagus patients have a 5% chance of the disease progressing to esophageal cancer over a 10-year span. Cardiologist Mary Gordon, M.D., Presence Medical Group, will present information and answer questions regarding women and heart disease.
