Nov 14 Flag Football Turkey Tournament

Flag Football Turkey Tournament
Ages 18 & Over

Come rain, snow or shine, this one-day, double-elimination tournament will be fun for all. We will play two 20-minute halves with a running clock. All players are eligible receivers. This is an 8-on-8 tournament and roster can have a maximum of 16 players. Limited spots are available so don’t wait to register a team. Prizes will be awarded to the top 2 teams of the tournament. Nov 14 New Lenox Fire Foundation Pancake Breakfast

The New Lenox Fire Foundation pancake breakfasts will be starting up again for the winter months. The breakfasts are held at the New Lenox Fire Protection District’s Station 1, located at 261 E. Maple Street from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. one Saturday per month from October through March.

The breakfasts are free to the public; however those who attend are encouraged to bring canned goods and other food items for the local food pantry.

Pancake breakfast dates are:

Peace Lutheran Church will host for the first time, a special session of GriefShare on Monday, Nov. 16, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., "Surviving the Holidays".  Anyone in the community grieving the loss of a loved one is welcome.  Our group is lead by caring people who have experienced grief and want to help you through the difficult days.  No registration or fee, but registration is helpful by calling the church office at 815-485-5327, or via email at GriefShare.PLC.60451@gmail.com.  Our location is 1900 E.     "Guests will have the opportunity to witness first-hand the hospitality of the Providence Catholic family," said Rachel Ellingson, Director of Enrollment. "Our teachers, coaches, students and parents will be on hand to tell the Providence story to our guests.
