“Surviving an Active Shooter Event”
A course entitled “Surviving an Active Shooter Event” is being offered by the Village of New Lenox, through its Safe Communities America Coalition. This FREE, 2-hour interactive course, was designed by the National Safety Council and will be held on Thursday August 16, 2018 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the Community Room at the New Lenox Village Hall. Active shooter incidents are deadly and are intended to inflict the most harm in the least amount of time. Knowing the right course of action can be the difference between life and death. This course will provide participants with information on how to respond to an active shooter situation, regardless of where it might occur.
