Throughout the month of May we remember our Veterans' sacrifices, collecting Poppy Day donations to help our Veterans and their families throughout the year. If you shop at Berkot’s in New Lenox on Laraway Road, please consider making a Poppy donation to the New Lenox American Legion Auxiliary Post 1977 (donations accepted at the checkout registers).
100% of your donations have helped the Auxiliary support the following and more:
National Poppy Day is May 27, 2022. The poppy is the internationally known and recognized symbol of the lives sacrificed in war and the hope that none died in vain. On September 27, 1920, the Poppy became the official flower of The American Legion Family. We thank you for your continued support!!
