Event Description:
The New Lenox Fire Protection District will be hosting their annual Family Fun Day, August 3rd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Station 1, 261 E. Maple Street.
“Family Fun Day is a day for the district to give back to its residents,” said NLFPD Chief Adam Riegel. “There are going to be plenty of activities for families to come and take part in.”
This year, we plan to have fire engine rides, bounce house, safety house, children’s activities, a side by side burn demonstration, fire extinguisher training, and much more. We are also able to provide pizza and sno cones, thanks to Chicago Dough and Old Plank Trail Community Bank. In addition, the New Lenox Fire Foundation will also be holding their annual Controlled Burn Beef Cookoff event in conjunction with Family Fun Day.
The primary mission of the New Lenox Fire and Ambulance Protection District is to provide a range of programs designed to protect the lives and property within New Lenox Village and Township from the effects for fires and sudden medical emergencies or exposure to dangerous conditions created by man or nature with professional, compassionate, and quality service.
