FREE Narcan® (Naloxone) Training
The New Lenox Safe Communities America Coalition, in partnership with the Will County Executive’s Office, is offering FREE Narcan® training on Thursday August 22, 2019. The training will be from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the auditorium at Lincoln-Way West High School. This training is part of the "Your Light Still Shines" event that will include informational tables, memorial tables (for those lost to drug overdoses), the H.E.R.O. "Hidden in Plain Sight" trailer, Unwanted Medication Takeback, and a wonderful panel of speakers.
Dr. Kathleen Burke, Director Substance Use Initiatives, Will County Executive’s Office, will be the instructor for this class. Dr. Burke will also provide everyone in attendance with a Narcan® Nasal Spray Kit, upon completion of the training.
Narcan® (Naloxone) is a medicine that blocks the effects of opioids and reverses a drug overdose. The combination of training and having a Narcan® Nasal Spray Kit can save a life!
Registration is being handled through Eventbrite at this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/free-narcan-training-part-of-your-light-still-shines-event-tickets-66910305525
