Chamber of Commerce Week
Illinois Governor Pat Quinn has proclaimed September 9 through September 13, 2011 as Chamber of Commerce Week throughout Illinois.
The New Lenox Chamber of Commerce has joined the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE) in celebrating this special recognition of the contributions chambers of commerce make to Illinois civic and economic life.
In his Proclamation, the Governor declared, “Chambers of commerce have contributed to the civic and economic life in Illinois for 172 years since the Galena Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1838. Chambers of commerce encourage the growth of existing industries, services, and commercial firms and encourage new businesses and individuals to locate in Illinois.”
The New Lenox Chamber will celebrate its members and all chambers with several events throughout the week.
Founded in 1960, the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce is a coalition of area businesses, industries, organizations and professionals who pool their talents and resources to improve the economic, civic, and cultural climate of the community by helping businesses succeed.
Through the commitment and involvement of its members, the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce continues to work tirelessly to promote members, encourage community support of local commerce and to provide businesses with resources and referrals. The chamber is here to help make New Lenox business successful by providing unique networking and marketing opportunities, dedicated advocacy support and continuing business education.
